  • Wexford Park

    • In our own neighborhood one of the best city parks is located at Sawmill and Westfield Rd. Amenities includes a large playground for toddlers and children 5-12 years old, tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and baseball fields, ice skating rink, disc golf, trails in woods, seasonal restroom, and a reservable park shelter.

  • Stricker's Pond Conservation Park

    • 7214 Longmeadow Road

    • This glacial kettle pond is an excellent place to view migrating waterfowl during spring and fall. The adjacent woods and restored prairie provide a diverse habitat for a variety of wildlife. Beautiful any time of the year. Just a block away from Tiedeman Pond Conservancy Area.

    • 0.8 miles of paved and dirt trails/sidewalk/quiet road on 14 acres in Middleton/Madison encircling the pond.

  • Wexford Prairie

    • Between Longmeadow Rd and Middleton St. is our own greenspace maintained by the Wexford Neighborhood. Includes a beautiful native prairie, picnic table, and grassy playing field.

    • The neighborhood association maintains large green spaces that connect the entire neighborhood.

  • Owen Conservation Park

    • On a hilltop overlooking Madison's west side, this park was the farm and personal retreat of former University Professor Edward T. Owen. Today, prairies and oak savannas have risen like a phoenix to reclaim the landscape. Cone flowers, goldenrod, and bluestem are among the many plants that yield a harvest of ever changing color and texture throughout the year.

  • Pheasant Branch Conservancy

    • 4864 Pheasant Branch Rd, Middleton

    • This beautiful conservancy consists of upland oak savanna and low land wetland prairies. 3.3 mile loop of pedestrian and bicycle trails along with bird watching, and interpretative signage. A stunning place to go any time of year.
